Dhikurpokhari Community Development Organization (DCDO) is a non-profit community development organization. It primarily works at transforming traditional farming methods into more scientifically modern ones in order to increase farm products. Since its establishment in 2058 B.S. (2001 A.D.), the organization has been continuously working in the agriculture sector, particularly in vegetable farms, and assisting farmers, particularly women, for marketing their products so that they would be economically less dependent on their family heads. With financial assistance from IDE Nepal, Caritas Nepal, SAP Nepal, Machhapuchhre Development Organization (MDO), and others, DCDO has been assisting the target groups to facilitate agriculture production and enabling them to have the appropriate market environment and make access to sell their products. With its own financial resources, DCDO has also been organizing various awareness programs, especially focusing on women's empowerment. Likewise, the organization frequently provides financial assistance to poor and intelligent students from target communities of the working area. Sometimes it also participates in footpath and road construction in the locality whenever necessary.

Along with helping farmers with technology applications and making strategic plans and actions in seasonal and off-seasonal cash-crops production, the organization has been an active role player in providing them with essential market information and in retailing the products. Besides, the organization launched Multi-Use Water systems (MUS), the One house one drinking water tap project, tomato farming in a plastic house, LAPA & CAPA Preparation, Climate Change Awareness, IPM Classes for farming different crops, loans to poor farmers for vegetable farming and so on. Awareness programs to empower women and improve their living standards, as well as their status in the family and society, is also one of the major objectives of the organization. Therefore, programs have been organized and implemented accordingly.
