Membership Criteria
The criteria for membership of The Everest Network are as follows:
- A potential member should be a community-based organization, a local, implementing organization. A 'local implementing' organization means that the organization resides and operates in the same location. For example, an organization that has its office in Chitwan where it implements/works and its staff are mainly locally recruited is considered a local and implementing CBO.
- An organization, for example, that has its main office in Kathmandu with local branches in other areas cannot join the network. However, if their local branches have self-autonomy, then their local branch can apply for membership.
- Educational institutions which support / capacity strengthens local organizations can also apply for membership.
- Members will be asked to sign a declaration of code of conduct. The code of conduct refers to sexual misconduct, corruption, terrorism, and child safeguarding.
